Description:

The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting and efficiently seating guests of the 60 seat restaurant and 24 seat bar, on the terrace along the edge of the canal or the rooftop lounge or poolside to include supervision of the restaurant’s staff and maintaining quality standards, assisting the restaurant manager by constantly ensuring quality service. Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction.

 

The Host/Hostess will mentally and physically move with ease from one function to another while always projecting an appropriately professional image and demeanor, characterized by genuine friendliness and caring. The Host/hostess is refined, without any hint of arrogance. Ideally, the Host/hostess is fluently bilingual or multilingual, possesses knowledge of different cultures and demonstrates appreciation for the diversity those cultures represent.

 

Ideal candidate is currently employed at an upscale restaurant in the D.C. area. Position requires a minimum of 1-2 years previous Food & Beverage and supervisory experience in a fine dining restaurant.
